Veal Shanks

Ingredients

  • Leftover veal shanks in sauce
  • Naan flatbread
  • Garlic infused oil
  • Sautéed onions and mushrooms, sliced
  • Diced cooked potatoes
  • Shredded mozzarella/paneer and/or asiago cheese
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Green onion, thinly sliced
  • * The amount of each ingredient will depend largely on the amount of leftover shredded veal shank.

Preparation

  1. Shred leftover veal shanks.

  2. Coat naan flatbread with oil, a light layer of sauce from leftover veal shank and shredded veal shank.
  3. Add as toppings your favourite vegetables (onions, broccoli, sautéed mushrooms, diced potato, etc.).
  4. Add mozzarella/paneer and/or asiago cheese.
  5. Bake pizza in the oven at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. (Bake the pizza on the middle rack of the oven).
  6. Broil for an additional 1-2 minutes to brown the crust, being careful not to burn the toppings.
  7. Before serving, garnish with fresh cilantro and green onion.

Tips and Tricks

For a spicy pizza, add a few drops of hot sauce.
